Angélica Ruiz

Angélica Ruiz (she/her/hers) is an educator, visual artist, and digital content producer born in Los Angeles and raised in San Gabriel Valley. 

As a graduate herself of an alternative high school, she feels a special connection to artworxLA students as they work to overcome barriers and find their voice. Angélica went on to study Fine Arts and Exhibition Design at Mt. San Antonio College, Art History at UCLA, and Art Methods and Education at Cal State Fullerton. Her own practice includes mixed media, drawing, painting, and printmaking.

In addition to her role as a Teaching Artist at artworxLA, Angélica currently works in digital media and production.
