The Art of Allegory: artworxLA Fall 2022 Public Presentation

  • The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA 152 North Central Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90012 United States (map)

Join us at our first of two Public Presentations celebrating students' work inspired by the theme The Art of Allegory. This special event is the culmination of 10 weeks in the classroom exploring how artists use storytelling to speak to larger social, political, or spiritual ideas. Both Judith F Baca: World Wall and Garrett Bradley: American Rhapsody, have inspired investigations into the multiple meanings that artworks hold. We are excited to celebrate our students' projects, ideas, and hard work with this semester's public presentations.

Student presentations will begin at 11:30pm in the Judith F. Baca: World Wall (Building. 4).

Arriving earlier? Explore the exhibitions World Wall, Garrett Bradley: American Rhapsody, and Lonesome Crowded West, celebrate students' work in the Student Art Exhibition in the courtyard outside, and share your thoughts on our programming at our Speak-Up Station!

Please check out our Eventbrite page to learn more about the event and order your free tickets!
