It's Our 25th Year

As we begin our silver anniversary year, we take a moment to thank you for being part of our journey! Our history not only includes our students, but individuals like you who believe that our programming leads to a promising and sustainable future for L.A.’s youth.

You’ve been part of our twenty-five-year story that includes our growth from 1 partner school site in 1992 to 26 alternative education schools in 2017, and the opening of the Hollywood Media Arts Academy in 2010. We’ve also witnessed the individual successes of our students. Our artworxLA alumni have given TED: Talks, created public murals for the MTA and for City Council member Curren D. Price, have been Getty and LA County Arts Commission Interns, have interned at GUESS?, been Ambassadors at the Mark Taper Forum, have been part of a start up photo lab at the Brewery Arts Complex, work at BET, are an Arts for LA Fellow. The arts have re-engaged our students in their education and propelled them to participate in all that our great city has to offer.

Throughout 2017, we will collectively celebrate our accomplishments, and reflect on the outstanding community of people who have contributed to our 25 years. Join us in celebrating arts for good!
