Meet our Teaching Artist for 2017-18

Meet our Teaching Artists for 2017-18. This year, our students will creatively explore our 2017-18 themes "Voices of a Movement: LA RAZA and Community Journalism" with The Autry Museum of the American West, "Monuments and Memory: Reconstructing American History" with the Japanese American National Museum, and "Into the Unknown: Sci-Fi Visions of the Future" with the Los Angeles Public Library. With the support of our cultural partners, our Teaching Artists participated in 2-weeks of training focusing on lesson planning, teaching pedagogy, and best practices to engage students. As a result, our Teaching Artists have created relevant and thought-provoking workshop projects exploring each theme through music, photography, film, performance, and writing.
