Erick is a student at Central High School Cypress Park who joined artworxLA programming in the Fall of 2013. In the beginning of 2014, Erick was introduced to Poetry in artworxLA's Level 2 Residency with the Street Poets. This experience generated his love for performance and spoken word. Erick's interests in writing and poetry stood out during his live performance at the Level 2 Public Presentation.  This interest also led Erick to join CAP programming with CalArts in the summer of 2014, again allowing him to perform in front a large audience. Passionate about art and activism, Erick joined our Board as the Student Representative in 2014.
